Fringe World Festival

On Thursday night myself and my good friend Steph had the opportunity to attend an event at the new Elizabeth Quays on the Swan river in Perth's CBD called LIMBO, and acrobatic exotic show!

Fringe World Festival goes over a period of a few months where they hold concerts, shows, contests for Local based and International based Artists in the theatre and acting department. Fringe world is located all around Perth - one in Fremantle, one in North bridge, and Elizabeth Quays. Night-time noodle palace, food vans, stalls, and little pop up stalls are an iconic part of the festival and are super popular for this type of event.

Steph and I explored the festival - and for the last week we managed to get free tickets from APAN advertising company for the show LIMBO!

LIMBO is dirty & dangerous circus-cabaret, whisking audiences worldwide into a sinister netherworld of jaw-dropping contortion, gut-churning aerial acrobatics & staggering illusions.

This record-breaking, award-winning sensation is a celebration of otherworldly proportions, directed by Scott Maidment, and presented in a magnificent 1920s inspired Spiegeltent. The night started off with free alcohol, and yummy burgers, we had the chance to go roller skating too! Limbo was an incredible show - as we sat in our seats, I was shocked I didn't hide my face more often when the girl was swallowing swords! The show included a little of the following - Acrobatic dancing, beat boxing, fire blowing activities and a whole bunch of hard core movements that involved a lot of persistence, stomach muscles and strength!

Overall the evening was lovely, and the show was worth while. Will defiantly watch it again when they are back in Perth next!

Love Carina x
